Review links
Who can open a link, what they can see, and how far they can wander.
Make a link from Invite reviewers in any project.
Who can use it
| Option | How it works |
|---|---|
| Anyone with the link | Reviewers type a name and start. Good for a stakeholder group. The project's Reviewer policy can ask for an email first. |
| One person | Plotter emails the link to them. It's theirs alone and can't be passed on. |
Scope
A link covers This page only (the default), This section (everything under a path like /shop), the Whole project, or Custom rules. Pages outside the scope still open, but reviewers see that marks are off there.
Feedback visibility
Choose what reviewers on the link see: Their own marks, with your replies, or Everyone's.
Snapshots as a backup
On a computer, a reviewer needs the Plotter extension (or your site script) to mark up the real site. For anyone who can't install it, tick Snapshots as a backup when you make the link, or choose Add snapshots as a backup on a link in the list.
- Pick the pages. The link's start page and its pages are listed; untick any or add more (up to 20).
- Take them with the extension. It opens each page in a window of its own and takes a full-page snapshot. Password and card fields are masked.
- Check and publish. Reveal a mask, draw a box over anything else to hide, or leave a page out, then publish.
Reviewers who can't open the site then see Review snapshots here on the link page. Their notes go to the same inbox and round. Retake the snapshots from the link whenever the site changes; revoking or renewing the link does the same to its snapshots.
Expiry and revoking
Links expire after 7, 14, 30 or 90 days, or never. Revoke a link from the project's list of links at any time, or renew one that has expired.
