Statuses

StatusMeaning
OpenNew from a reviewer.
AssignedSomeone is on it. Set when you assign anyone, or when someone (or their agent) starts on it.
ReopenedThe reviewer checked your fix and chose Still not right.
Needs repairThe page changed and Plotter lost the element. Check its best guess.
ResolvedFixed. The reviewer sees Fixed — check it on their mark.
DismissedYou decided not to change it. The reviewer sees Won’t change, with your reason as a reply.

Assigning

Open a task and choose an assignee, or select several rows and assign them together. Assigning doesn't send an email; assignees find the task under My tasks.

Replying to the reviewer

Write in Reply to the reviewer at the bottom of the task. Replies appear on the reviewer's mark the next time they open the link, and by email if they gave one.

Team-only notes

Switch the reply box to Team only to write something only your team sees: what the fix should be, the steps, who checks it. Reviewers never see team-only notes and get no email. They show in the thread with a Team only tag. Team-only notes are on paid plans.

From marks to done

A way to work that suits a team with AI agents:

  1. Reviewers mark up the pages.
  2. Someone who decides goes through the new tasks and writes the plan for each one, in a reply or a team-only note.
  3. They assign each decided task to whoever builds it. My tasks (and list_tasks with assigned_to_me for agents) then lists what's ready.
  4. The developer, or their agent, makes the change. An agent follows the newest team reply over the reviewer's original note, and asks when a task has no plan and no obvious fix.
  5. They resolve it, or leave a team-only note saying what changed and reassign it to whoever checks it.

Next round

When a round gets bigger than you can finish, move tasks to the next round: Next round on a task (or press l), or select several and choose Next round in the selection bar. They leave the page groups for a Next round group at the bottom of the inbox, and come back open when the next round starts. Bring back puts one back in this round.

Reviewers still see next-round marks on the page, faded with a clock and labelled Next round, so nobody marks the same thing again. Each reviewer always sees their own; seeing everyone’s is on paid plans, and only on projects that share marks.

Dismissing

Choose Dismiss (or press d) when you won’t make a change. Pick a reason or write your own; it goes on the thread as your reply, so the reviewer knows why. Reopen a dismissed task the same way as a resolved one.

Rounds

When you publish a new version, open the round menu next to the project name and choose Wrap up. Every unfinished task, by page, either moves to the next round or is dismissed (with one reason for all of them). Tasks already moved to the next round come along. Nothing unfinished stays behind in the closed round. Give the new round a name if you like, and email reviewers that it’s ready.

Resolved and dismissed marks stay with the round they were closed in, so you can show a client what changed. On paid plans, reviewers can show earlier rounds’ fixes on the page too; see What reviewers see.
