Import designs from Figma
Bring Figma frames into a project's Designs to review, each linked to its frame, and import again for a new version.
Figma import is on paid plans. A team connects one Figma account; anyone who can edit a project can then import frames from the files that account can see.
Connect Figma
An owner or admin does this once, in Team settings › Integrations: choose Connect Figma and sign in to Figma. Plotter only reads files; it never changes them. Share the files you want to import with that Figma account.
Import frames
- Open the project's Designs and choose From Figma.
- Paste a link to the Figma file (Share › Copy link in Figma). A link to one frame picks that frame.
- Choose Show frames, tick up to 30 frames, and choose Import.
From the browser extension
With the browser extension signed in, open the Figma file in your browser and click the Plotter button. Pick the project, tick the frames (the one in the address is already ticked) and choose Send. It's the same import, without copying a link.
What arrives
New frames arrive as a set named after the file, ready to share like any other designs. Each one remembers the Figma frame it came from.
A new version
Import the same frame again after it changes in Figma. It comes in as a new version of the design that's already there, so open marks are compared against the new one, just like uploading a new version.
