Change text, styles and images on the page

Edit words right on the page, try colours, sizes and spacing live, or swap in a new image, and send it as one mark.

Edit the words in place

  1. Choose Copy change in the toolbar, or press T.
  2. Click the text you want to change. The text cursor appears where you clicked, and you can type straight into the page.
  3. Type your version. The note column shows the same words, so you can edit in either place.
  4. Press Enter or choose Send. Esc cancels.

The page goes back to how it was once the mark is sent. Only you see your edit while you type; the site itself never changes.

While anything on the page differs from the real site, the element has an orange outline labelled Edited in Plotter · not live. The same label shows when someone previews your change. It can't be styled away, so a changed page, or a screenshot of one, can't pass for the live site.

Try styles

Open Style under your version to try them on the element as you change them:

  • Text colour and background
  • Size, weight, line height and letter spacing
  • Alignment, italic and underline
  • Padding and margin on each side, and corner radius

Reset styles takes them all back off. Style changes can go with new words or on their own. Add a note if there's something the controls don't cover.

Replace an image

  1. Choose Copy change or Select and click an image. The note opens on Replace image.
  2. Choose a replacement image. JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 10 MB. It shows on the page straight away.
  3. Choose Send. The image is uploaded with your mark.

Some sites only allow images from their own address. On those, Plotter draws your picture over the image instead, so the preview still works.

On iPhone and iPad

Pick an element with Select or Copy change. The note's Change text tab shows your words and styles on the page as you change them. Replace image picks from Photos; HEIC and very large photos are sent as JPEG.

What the team sees

The task shows the old and new words, a before-and-after table of styles with Copy as CSS, and the replacement image. On the page, Preview on the mark's pin shows the change in place; Original puts it back. Agents connected over MCP get the same details: style_changes and a replacement_image_url that works for about an hour.
